The New Version of XL
I don’t know how they did it, but we always wanted a Nylon line that was strong, near invisible, and memory free. Finally, I can buy an 8lb. XL that actually breaks at 11.8 lbs., and has almost zero spool memory. Thank you Berkley, for this fishing line.

Complete junk
Over the years I've spent a lot of money with Berkley which is why I made the mistake of trusting this and lined 3 poles with it for my kids and used it on one of my smaller rods. You can forget smooth casting when the line just wants to knot up every cast. Total of 2 and half months it was on these poles. These poles never went more than 3 days at the most without being used while this line was used so it's not from sitting around on the reel. The second day I was pulling lures in by hand. Except my antique jitterbug that's stick in a pond after the wind blew it into some brush while I was trying to unknot the line just to reel it back in. I started to go after it and learned the mud is deeper than the water. That old lure was pretty much priceless to me. Berkley really let me down with this product. They should reimburse me for this crap.

Favorite fishing line
Love this line! Strong, durable, and cast great! I catch big bass and catfish from time to time with no problem. Of course drag has to be set. This will always be my go to small game fishing line!!!!

Best cranking line for me!
I know a lot of people have moved away from monofilament over the years, but you still can beat the OG in my book.
I crank, a lot! And my go to has always be Berkley Trilene! I especially love the XL smooth cast for the long, twist free casts, exceptional knot strength and overall fish retention ability.
Always a staple in my cranking set up!
