  • Jason Gramada & Nicolas Gendron Garner B1 Title

    With a complete field of 150 teams, the third annual Berkley B1 Bass Open took place on Lake St-Francis in southwestern Quebec with tremendous success. The team of Jason Gramada and Nicolas Gendron claimed the event with 48.02 pounds of smallmouth. Anchoring the winning teams winning weight was a 6.53-pound giant, which also claimed the Lunker award.

    Ott DeFoe, a B.A.S.S. Elite Series rookie and Berkley pro team member, looked at his competition for the first ever Bassmaster Elite Series All Star event. The list was a who’s who list of former Classic champions, Anglers of the Year, Elite tournament victors…names like Reese, Iaconelli and Van Dam.
  • Claims Second Career AOY Title

    Consistency is key to any title that encompasses an entire year, and Berkley pro David Dudley was just that. Claiming his second AOY title, Dudley joins fellow Berkley pros Clark Wendlandt (2009, 2000, 1997) and Jay Yelas (2007, 2002) as the only FLW anglers to win multiple Walmart FLW Tour Angler of the Year titles. Dudley also received $100,000 for the title.

  • Anglers and industry groups unite to address catch limit problems in federal saltwater fisheries

    A bill introduced by Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) seeks to ensure that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Marine Fisheries Service is required to set catch limits based on sound science. The bi-partisan legislation, known as the Fishery Science Improvement Act (FSIA), is endorsed by the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus as well as a broad coalition of conservation, sportfishing and marine industry groups.
